The University of Tartu Art Museum welcomes visitors of all ages!
The University of Tartu Art Museum is the only museum in Estonia that exhibits antique art. The permanent exhibition consists of sculptures – original size plaster cast copies of the greatest works from Archaic, Classical and Hellenistic Greece.
Children can explore the Antique Era through the fun thematic games on the exhibition hall computers. The games introduce antique clothing, temples and much more.
Don’t forget to say hello to the Ancient Egyptian mummy displayed in the permanent exhibition!

Make sure you buy a family ticket when visiting the Museum. The family ticket costs 6 € and is meant for one or two adults with children. The ticket provides entrance into The University of TartuArt Museum, the Assembly Hall and the historical lock-up. The combined family ticket, which also includes entrance into the University of Tartu Museum main building in Tartu Cathedral and the Old Observatory, costs 14 €.
The University of Tartu Main Building is stroller accessible through the automatic doors situated in the back of the left wing, which has a ramp. In order to open the doors press the button next to the doors! You can take the stroller to the Art Museum halls on the ground floor and use a lift to visit the Assembly Hall on the second floor. The historical lock-up is not stroller accessible.
